Nintendo released a minor title update for Splatoon 3 on June 26, 2025, bringing the game to version 10.0.1. This patch focuses on addressing gameplay slowdowns and correcting several stage-specific and interface issues that had been affecting multiplayer matches and the SplatNet 3 app interface.
Performance Fixes:
Resolved an issue where the game would run noticeably slower during intense skirmishes—specifically when numerous shots and characters were present on screen. Performance has been restored to the levels experienced in version 9.3.0, ensuring more consistent frame rates during hectic encounters.
Multiplayer Stage Corrections:
Several unintended behaviors in Urchin Underpass have been corrected across different modes.
Traversal exploit: Players could previously climb the outer perimeter of the stage using unintended means. This has been patched to block that route.
Terrain clipping: In Tower Control, occasional clipping into the stage geometry has been fixed.
Goal distance display: In Rainmaker, the “goal distance” indicator sometimes failed to update smoothly at certain sections of the map; this glitch has been addressed to provide accurate feedback during matches.
SplatNet 3 Interface Adjustment:
The “Next Freshness Up” field in Weapon Data on SplatNet 3 was not appearing as intended. This has been corrected, so players can once again track freshness progress without issue.
Although this update does not introduce new content, it smooths out performance and gameplay interactions that had begun to detract from the core Splatoon 3 experience. Players are encouraged to install version 10.0.1 before diving back into Turf War or competitive modes.
