Kirby joins your morning routine, Nintendo Alarmo gets a dreamy update

Nintendo’s charming alarm clock app, Alarmo, is getting a delightful new update themed around one of its most beloved characters: Kirby. Announced via Nintendo’s official Japanese website, the update introduces seven brand-new alarm sounds inspired by Kirby and the Forgotten Land, including melodies from the newly released “Starry World” content. The update is part of a broader celebration surrounding the launch of Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Nintendo Switch 2, which also includes a soundtrack expansion and a new Tetris 99 event featuring Kirby designs.

The Alarmo app, known for its whimsical approach to waking players up with themed sounds and visuals, has previously featured updates based on Animal Crossing and Super Mario. This latest Kirby-themed addition continues Nintendo’s trend of blending utility with fan service, offering players a way to start their day with the cheerful tones of Dream Land. While the exact release date for the new alarms hasn’t been confirmed, Nintendo has encouraged fans to stay tuned for further announcements.

Each of the seven alarms will feature distinct audio cues, including tracks from the “Starry World” DLC, which expands the musical palette of Kirby’s latest adventure. The update is expected to be free, in line with previous Alarmo content drops, and will be available to all users of the app. The timing of the update aligns with the rollout of the Star-Crossed World expansion for Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which existing players can access as an upgrade on Switch 2.

Nintendo continues to integrate its iconic franchises into everyday tools and experiences, and Alarmo stands out as a playful example of how gaming culture can extend beyond the console. With Kirby’s infectious charm now part of the morning routine, fans have yet another reason to smile before they even pick up a controller.
