The Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake is not only the #1 game overall on Switch, but also holds the #2 spot on PS5. The Switch version leads by a wide margin, showing the series’ deep roots in Nintendo’s audience. Titles like Kirby Air Riders (#3), PokĂ©mon Legends: Z-A – Switch 2 Edition (#5), and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment (#6) are already pulling huge vote counts despite the console not yet being in players’ hands. This suggests strong trust in Nintendo’s next-gen vision. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (#12) is still a major talking point years after its initial announcement. Splatoon Raiders (#22) shows Nintendo’s multiplayer shooter series still has a loyal following.

Games like Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream (#25) and Rhythm Heaven Groove (#30) are banking on fond memories to drive hype. Meanwhile, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles appears twice, once for Switch (#27) and once for PS5,  showing cross-platform appeal. In fact, Square Enix is heavily represented with Octopath Traveler 0 (#28), Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (#18), and Atelier Resleriana (#26), proving that Switch and Switch 2 are still prime homes for JRPGs. Nintendo’s platforms are shaping the entire Japanese gaming anticipation landscape.
