The first season, which debuted on December 28, 2023, marked the franchise’s inaugural fully stop-motion project and its first true slice of life spin off. Animated by Dwarf Studios, the series charmed viewers with felt covered Pokémon models, miniature island sets, and soothing pacing, earning a rare 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 17 critic reviews.
Success on Netflix went beyond praise: in its opening four days, Pokémon Concierge was watched for 3.1 million hours, equivalent to roughly 2.6 million complete views, and it matched that figure in its second week, solidifying its status as one of the service’s surprising hits.
