Disney Speedstorm Season 14 is here, and no toy gets left behind

Season 14 of Disney Speedstorm, aptly titled “No Toy Gets Left Behind,” launched on July 3, 2025, across all platforms and dives headfirst into the world of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story. This update introduces three new racers inspired by the beloved franchise, Emperor Zurg, Lotso, and Forky, each bringing unique classes and abilities to the track and inviting players to relive the magic of Andy’s room at high speed.

One of the centerpiece additions is Tales, a dynamic event format that weaves together multiple Limited Events into a continuous PvE and PvP experience. Players unlock new challenges as they progress, contribute points to a global reward track, and race against each other on a grand leaderboard that updates with every completed milestone. Multiple Tales can run simultaneously, ensuring there’s always a fresh adventure and new rewards to pursue.

The revamped ramp stunt system now transforms airtime into strategic fuel for your Nitro bar. Landing aerial tricks no longer simply grants a burst of speed; instead, each stunt charges up Nitro, with Trickster class racers earning bonus fills. This update rewards both style and timing, letting you save up power for the perfect moment to surge ahead of rivals once you touch back down.

Season 14 also expands the in game audio landscape by adding fully voiced lines for Zurg, Forky, Lotso, and the mid-season duo Chip ’n’ Dale. These new voiceovers heighten the immersion, letting each character’s personality shine through as you race, plan stunts, and push for the finish line.

A fresh roster of Supercharge Racers debuts this season, including Hercules, Elsa, EVE, Stitch, and Goofy. These characters arrive with boosted base stats and accelerated progression, offering players new strategies and playstyles to master in both casual and competitive modes.

All players will be able to unlock Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep for free through the Season Tour, adding two fan favorite Toy Story heroes to every racer’s stable without any premium purchase required. This ensures that even newcomers can compete with iconic characters from the outset of Season 14.

The Season 14 update rolls out new Tournaments and Vault Pass offerings themed around Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Competitions will feature racers such as Jack Skellington, Sally, Dr. Finkelstein, Belle, Beast, and Gaston, while the Vault Pass grants opportunities to secure exclusive cosmetic and progression rewards tied to these worlds.

Of course you can still play it on your Nintendo Switch, but layers on Nintendo Switch 2 receive exclusive performance enhancements, including an increased frame rate cap of 60 FPS, sharp 1080p resolution in handheld mode and up to 1440p when docked, plus upgraded shadows, anti-aliasing, and shader quality. These graphical and performance upgrades ensure buttery smooth, visually rich races on the latest hardware.

Under the hood, Season 14 brings several quality of life improvements. Multiplayer Rankings now display the maximum racer level, and a new level cap system balances matchmaking by adjusting racers above the cap down to the league’s recommended level while preserving crew bonuses and supercharge abilities. Additionally, mission redirection has been optimized to guide players straight into the action, and a free roster of ten racers becomes available in Private Track and Local Freeplay after initial onboarding, streamlining access to characters for testing and fun.

With its blend of fresh Toy Story content, innovative event formats, performance boosts, and balance tweaks, Season 14 of Disney Speedstorm is set to deliver the most action-packed and polished racing experience yet. Strap in, choose your favorite toymaker, and prepare to blaze through Andy’s room like never before
